Play Dough Recipes

Uncooked Play Dough

3 Cups Flour

1 ½ Cups Salt

6 tsp Cream of Tartar

3 Tablespoons Cooking Oil

3 Cups boiling water

  • Mix dry ingredients, cooking oil together in large bowl
  • Then add boiling water
  • Stir well until the mixture leaves the sides of the bowl
  • Add more flower if mixture seems sticky
  • Turn out on to hard surface and knead.

Salt Ceramic Play Dough

1½ Cups Salt

¾ Cup Cornflour

1 Cup Water

  • Mix ingredients together in a pot over a low heat
  • Stir frequently until mixture becomes solid
  • -urn out and knead immediately

This play dough can be moulded in to shapes, made into beads and used for making decorations. Make any hole that might be required in the finished product before the play dough is left to go hard. It can then be painted once hardened.

Cloud Play Dough

6 Cups Flour

1 Cup Cooking oil

1 Cup Water

  • Mix ingredients in a large bowl, using just enough water to bind the mixture together
  • Turn out the mixture and Knead well

This is a firm, oily play dough with a rubbery texture that shreds as it stretches.
