The 3yr olds interest in gardening has led us to do more hands on practices in our outdoor area. As we experienced summer the children enjoyed cleaning the garden, potting seeds in our yoghurt containers and planting cabbage, beans, lettuce, coriander and sunflowers.

This has encouraged healthy eating. Through aspects of science children learnt the process of growing plants from seeds hen into fully grown plants. This really fascinated the children as they experienced the changes that took place.

The teachers are supporting the children's growing interest by recognising, respond and exploring with the children in their surroundings, through digging, planting, watering the garden, and visiting our garden every day.
