Mothers Day and Transition to school catch up

May was a great month, we got to celebrate Mothers day. We put on a yummy brunch for all mothers, nana's, aunties and caregivers to come and celebrate what an awesome job they do raising their tamariki. it is defiantly not an easy job and I wish that we got paid, but instead it is fulfilled with a whole lot of love, so we wanted to let all of our beautiful Mummies know how special they to their children and us. the morning started with the children doing a small performance of 3 songs for their Mums, then they got to share a special morning tea, and jump on the jumpy castle. The children really enjoyed having their parents here with them at the centre. then all parents were presented with a gift from their children.

Since we were having some of our parents come in we also personally invited all the parents of our 4.5 year old by our transition to school teacher Whaea Mala so she could met with parents and discuss their children's progress and go through their portfolio's with the parents. Mala has also done up transition to school packs for the parents so they can actively help with their children's learning at home. they were so grateful for the opportunity to come and talk with their teachers and really appreciated been given resources to help their children.
