To introduce Easter for the third year in a row we have our Living eggs. they arrived Monday 12th of March. We got 11 eggs and by Wednesday they had all hatched. The children absolutely love having these here and watching the chicken life cycle unfold and our centre based parents secretly enjoy keeping an eye on them and watching their progression too. As soon as the eggs arrived word spread amongst the children and we had a big group watching with anticipation hoping one would hatch straight away, they were so patient. On the Tuesday I got an egg out that I could hear chirping and held it up to the children's ear so they could hear, they enjoyed this. As the chicks get bigger the children are able to hold and pat the chicks.
