This year we took part in the "Living Eggs" project at Marne Road. The children were so excited to see the eggs inside the incubator and eagerly looked on as they started to hatch. We were lucky enough to have nine of the ten eggs hatch and it was amazing to see the little chicks emerge from the eggs. The classrooms all took turns to come and see the chicks and they eventually moved over to the brooder box, where they started eating special chicken food and drink water. We also invited all the parents who came into the centre to go and see the chicks. It was a great experience and the children all said goodbye to the chicks when they were collected to go and find new families to live with. What a great experience!
