Celebrating Cook Island Language Week

This week we celebrated Cook Island Language Week at kindy. The Kaiako organised lots of fun activities such as tapa art, dressing up and  making paper tivaevae. The babies even made an umu in the sandpit, which was an awesome experience for them. The tamariki also showed off their drumming skills outside on the playground. We ended our week on Friday with a dress-up day and Whaea Carol and Whaea Dani made yummy panikeke for our afternoon team. Everyone had so much fun celebrating Cook Island Language Week and look forward to doing so again next year.
