​November was a busy month for us we celebrated many cultures and celebrations.  We had lots of fun learning different greetings, waiata, dance and best of all the yummy food.  Our tamariki got to experience Rangatahi Festival at Kereru Park Campus and see all cultural groups perform on stage.

During the holidays our local business Maia Ink sponsored a trip to the movies for our tamariki.  They were all excited as they took the train to Manukau, had lunch at Burger King before heading upstairs to watch Little Foot.  Thank you Leroy at Maia Ink for a great day out........

This month our tuakana had their first visit to Takanini Lodge aged care.  They shared stories and sang waiata before having some morning tea with our nannie's and poppa's.  We can't wait to visit next week where we are gonna take playdough, have fun and use our imagination to create.

The 3yr olds interest in gardening has led us to do more hands on practices in our outdoor area. As we experienced summer the children enjoyed cleaning the garden, potting seeds in our yoghurt containers and planting cabbage, beans, lettuce, coriander and sunflowers.
